EC Artists make it happen for themselves...

Two talented artists in the Eastern Cape have succeeded against all odds and have managed to put together their own debut albums. Dumisani Maswana and Nobuhle Dastile are sending out a strong message to the public with their unique musical sounds.
Dumisani Maswane has produced a masterpiece debut album “iphupha lam”(my dream) which consists of 11 songs. Born in the Eastern Cape in Peddie, Maswana has perfomed amongst the country’s top artists such as Ringo Madlingozi, Victor Ntoni, Thandiswa Mazwai and the internationally acclaimed duo of Kenny Latinmore and Chante More.

Review of Dumza Maswana's debut album, "Iphupha Lam"

An emerging brand in the Afro-Soul Jazz genre, Dumisani Maswane has produced a masterpiece debut album “iphupha lam” (my dream) which consists of 11 songs recorded live in studio with his band.
Born in the Eastern Cape in Peddie village, Maswana is no stranger to the music industry as he has performed amongst the country’s top artists such as Ringo Madlingozi, Victor Ntoni, Thandiswa Mazwai and the internationally acclaimed duo of Kenny Latinmore and Chante More.

Review of Nobuhle Dastile's debut album, "Molweni Mzantsi"

A new up and coming jazz vocalist from Umtata, Nobuhle Dastile, has just released her 10 track debut album, entitled “Molweni Mzantsi” (Hello South Africa) which is steadily gaining popularity on local radio stations.
Released in December 2009, the album features great songs such Mayoluswe, Freedom Day, Ndixolele, and Umanyano.
Two songs, Molweni eMzantsi and Mayoluswe, have already enjoyed air play on Umhlobo Wenene FM.
Dastile singles out track 2 (Mayoluswe), 4 (Ndixolele) and 9 (UNomcondo) as her favourite jazzy melodies. She is planning on officially launching the CD in April this year.

ELSaBé is a young, dynamic singer and songwriter from Jeffrey’s bay, South Africa. She has been all over the country since December 2004, to share her talent with the people. In 2007 she matriculated in Port Elizabeth. The Eastern Cape public knows her as “The pearl from Paradise” or “The golden export-product of Jeffrey’s bay.”You’ll be hooked for life when you hear her sing!
