Bands - Rap / Hip Hop

Mkhuseli Qalazive Majali was born in Port Elizabeth in the early eighties and is the only brother to 8 sisters. Qalazive, as he is known to his legions of supporters, was a relatively late bloomer as he only started attending hip hop and poetry sessions in 2001. The chemistry and connection of the art form was instant though and the charismatic MCEE never looked back since.
Qalazive has worked with productions such as Blue Note (New York) championed by Steve. He normally hops between PE and Cape Town, involving himself with numerous Hip Hop artists from both these hoods.
Qala has rocked a number of stages such as the Bush radio competition in 2006 where he won the 1st prize. He has performed at Ciphers, the National Arts Festival, AIDS awareness campaigns, Arts Cape, All NY's in Gugulethu, and the Durban International Convention Centre.
Qalazive is a fearless live performer with unrivaled energy on stage and weaves effortlessly conscious and flow orientated tracks.
Throughout his Hip Hop music career, Qalazive has had the privilege of sharing the stage with the like of: Brenda Fassie, Huegh Masekela, Stompie Mavi , Zakes Bantwini, Hip Hop Pantsula, Prokid and Somalian’s Hip hop artist Knaan to name but a few.
Qalazive is currently promoting his latest offering called "Thul'Mamele” His single Zimb’ Indaba is currently being play listed in radio stations in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Cape Town and as far as Lesotho, just to mention few. It is also on Gagasi FM, Radio Grahamstown, UCT FM, Bush Radio, Bay FM, Tru FM and others.
