Khanyo Dunga-Ntenge is an accomplished vocalist who has been singing professionally since 1995. The band that she was in at the time, Isapheta won the Shell Road to Fame competition in 1995 and recorded an album titled “Inhlonipho.”

In 1997, Khanyo joined the Churh of Christ Gospel Group and was one of the lead singers. The group we travelled all over SA and abroad.

Khanyo also works with a number of local Eastern Cape bands including Afro-Mix Jazz Band.

In 2001, Khanyo joined the Tambora group which then changed its name to Intsholo ye Africa. The group toured England visiting schools and colleges where it offered workshops on singing, traditional dancing and drumming. It also performed at the national theatre in London.

Khanyo, together with the many bands she has been involved in, has shared the stage with some South African greats including Brend Fassie, Rebecca Malope, Vuyo Mokoena, Lundi, Bayethe and Stompie Mavie.
