The Irie Vibes  Marimba Band was started by Zimbabwean musician, Rodger Murevanhema in preparation for the 2010 Soccer World Cup. He was later joined by another Zimbabwean marimba bass player, Ree Maziwisa.

In the future they hope to establish an arts academy which will teach African cultural instruments to disadvantaged kids.
