Gospel singer, worship leader and youth pastor, Unathi Luthweyi Ndzube has a voice of gold. The pastors wife, and proud mother of three is renown for her musical talents and is often called on by the Department of Roads and Public Works to perform at their women’s day functions. Unathi has also performed at a number of other government events including Women’s Day and Women’s Indaba. In her church, she is known as Igeza Lengoma (a music fanatic!) and a woman of God with a strong and powerful prophetic voice.

Raised in Seymour, a small rural town in the Eastern Cape, Unathi was exposed to music from a very young age. Her mother was a successful choral soloist, and Unathi developed her love of singing from her mother.

“I have never allowed my background, and the fact that I was raised in a poor family to limit me. I allow myself to fly. Everything happens for a reason, and I choose to wake up everyday and live my purpose.”

Unathi performs for a number of functions, and uses her musical talents to minister to people at church conferences. She began training worship team members in 2006, and met well known gospel artist, Vovee Batala who encouraged her to pursue her gifts and do a recording.

Unathi is currently recording an album which will be released in October, 2011. “The album is full of worship songs that call the public to come back and worship God in spirit and in truth.”
